Check your play use from the first pre season game. To do so, go to Gameplanning, and in the boxes at the top of the play results, put 1 game and 1 for Minimum times used.
Its most likely that your GL defense got used the most, unless you were able to offset that by using a rule. The reason is that the GL defense gets automatically called against any of the GL offenses, the 122, 221, and 311 personnel. To reduce the use, we will either need to have a universal rule that will be required, or no GL defense plays. I would prefer the rule.
Myself, I had a good spread of plays on offense, 35 out of the 40 were used. But the two plays used the most were 2 long pass plays, one called 9 times, which is way too much, the other was used 5 times, which is why my QB had a problem, lol. The long pass is still a big problem in the current game version, very high probability for either sack or interception, and very low for a complete.
My defense play use was another story. Goaline Attack 3 was used 12 times, the reason is discussed above. I will put a rule in to prevent that for the next preseason game. Only 13 plays total were used, so that is going to take some work to get a better variety. A big part of the problem is the "auto" Ai play call based on personnel. The Ai will call a Nickel vs the 113, so if you had one or two Nickel defensive plays called a lot, that may be the reason.
So, its going to be a challenge to get everyone squared away for more diversity in the play use without it being as boring as the RO games. To make it work, we all have to have similar rules to prevent Ai automatic calls by personnel and formations. Any other ideas are more tha welcome.
Nows the time for input and suggestions to improve the gameplay. I was happy with the variety that is not the norm in other leagues, so that is a good start. So, check your play use and if you need help making adjustments to reduce/eliminate overuse, let me know.
